About Dr. Dharanidhar Naik
Writer, a Teacher and a Speaker
Born in a small village named Bhingarpur, Balianta, near Bhubaneswar in 1939. Completed his Secondary Education from S B High School, Bhingarpur and started his career as a Sorting Officer in Railway Mail Service in 1959. Continued study in parallel and completed Intermediate, Graduation and Post Graduation in Odia Language and Literature.
After completing Post Graduation joined U N College, Soro, Balasore as a Lecturer in Odia Language and Literature and served for 22 years before getting transferred to R.C.M. Science College, Khallikote and served there till retirement. Was awarded Doctorate Degree in 1981 from Utkal University and the subject he chose for his Ph.D. was “Sarala Sahityare Sakta Dharma”. Did his Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Banshidhar Mohanty and the thesis was well appreciated by many scholars and literature experts including Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab.

Actively involved in Sri Satya Sai Seva Organization in different parts of Odisha since 1974. Served as Sevadal Worker, Balvikash Guru and Speaker in Study Circle. Contributed many articles in Odia Monthly magazines and Sri Satya Sai Mukhapatra “The Amrutam”. Currently associated with Sri Satya Sai Seva Sangh, Kapilaprasad under Lingaraj Samiti, Old Town, Bhubaneswar.
